CVS, the big national drug chain, has signed a deal to start selling CBD-derived products at more than 800 of its stores. It’s believed to be the first major big boxer to move into the classification and continues to show the mainstreaming of CBD lotions and potions.
The products are already turning up on store shelves this week, CVS confirmed to Bloomberg. Initially they will be sold in eight states, including California, Illinois, Colorado and Alabama. That represents a mix of states where marijuana is legal and still illegal. CVS has about 10,000 stores.
The CBD products are from Canadian-based Curaleaf.
