The conversation is getting pretty loud these days about whether suppliers and retailers should get into the business of products containing the CBD component found in cannabis. It’s legal throughout the country — except for some states where its use in food is not allowed — and is not to be confused with marijuana sales, which are only permitted in some states (and throughout Canada).
If you’re considering all of this, here’s a good overview of where things stand and who is doing what. It’s a mixed bag for sure: big national drug chains like CVS and Walgreen say yes, Amazon says no and both Walmart and Target are sitting on the sidelines waiting to see how it all plays out.
